Montague County Sesquicentennial Celebration

1858-2008

 

Montague County, Texas is 150 years old this year, and we want you to help us celebrate this once-in-a lifetime milestone.     Dates in Montague County are: 

 

July 4, 2008 - Saint Jo's Sesquicentennial Celebration in conjunction with the July 4th celebration.  We will kick off with a chuck wagon breakfast and farmers market.  The day will be filled with events ending with the fireworks at the park.  Please see below for additional information.

 

August 2, 2008 - The County's official birthday.  Montague County Courthouse; featuring recognition ceremonies, courthouse tours, musical entertainment and more. 

 

August 2, 2008 - Sesquicentennial Parade - Saint Jo downtown square, in conjunction with the Saint Jo Rodeo Parade.

 

August 22-23, 2008- Nocona's Western Heritage Weekend.  For additional information visit www.nocona.org or call 940-825-3526.

 

October 18, 2008 - Montague County Fair.  Around the Courthouse Square in Montague.  Featuring old-fashioned fun, food, games and entertainment for all ages.
