Ladies Night on the Square.
The Saint Jo Merchants Association invites you to kick off the holiday shopping season in Saint Jo by joining us for a night of shopping, live music, carriage rides, tasty treats, drinks, drawings and giveaways.
The Saint Jo Square will be alive with holiday decorations, stores open late, great dining opportunities and a chance to take home some great prizes! 4pm - 9pm. For additional information please contact Ashlyn Shadden at 903-821-4189.
This year's Saint Jo Chamber of Commerce "Santa on the Square" Christmas parade will be on Saturday, December 9, 2017.
The Chamber is asking all local merchants to participate in the event. We encourage you to decorate your establishment according to the theme of the parade. The Chamber will have a chuck wagon on the plaza with Ole Saint Nick taking pictures and handing out goody bags! Free beans and cornbread are available to everyone attending the festivities. Entries for the parade will need to be submitted by November 30, 2017. All entries must be lighted. Entries will need to arrive no later than 5:00pm on December 3 in the vacant lot north of Leeton Phillips house. Parade rules and regulations will be received when you turn in your entry. The parade will begin at 6:00pm.

Goodies, Treats and Entertainment
Christmas music will be playing from the gazebo. Gift bags for the children will be handed out by Saint Nick and photographs will be taken. The Century Club will also provide hot chocolate and snacks during the event. The Chamber invites everyone in the Montague county and surrounding communities to attend.
Over $2,000 in prizes will be available for patrons purchasing tickets from the Chamber. Tickets are $2.00 each or 6 tickets for $10.00 and are available at City Hall and First State Bank.

Held Annually at Boggess Park
July 4th - Fourth of July Celebration and Old Jo's Firecracker 5K Run. The City of Saint Jo, the Saint Jo Chamber of Commerce and the Saint Jo Volunteer Fire Department will once again sponsor a July 4th Star Spangled Spectacular Fireworks show at Boggess City Park, beginning at full dark, around 9pm. Live music, free watermelon and a concession stand begins at 6pm.
The Old Jo's Firecracker 5K Run will begin at 8am. Please go to, getmeregistered.com, or click here for the entry form and additional information. Merchants on the Saint Jo Chisholm Trail Square will be open until 6pm.
Pre-show entertainment will also start at 6pm with live music in the First State Bank Pavilion. The Chamber of Commerce will continue its tradition of free watermelon all evening which will be served by the Montague County Child Welfare Board. Beginning at 6pm, the concession stand will have hot dogs, hamburgers and other refreshments for purchase.
The Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the fifteenth annual July 4th Freeze-Off at 7:30pm. Teams of 1 to 4 people are invited to prepare homemade ice cream. The winners are chosen by popular vote and independent judges after tasting all the ice cream. Prizes are $100 for 1st place, $50 for 2nd place and $25 for 3rd place. A 5K race on a certified route through the historic town of Saint Jo, Texas and out in the beautiful countryside. Sponsored by the Saint Jo Chamber of Commerce and Easy Street Animal Shelter. Red River Valley Tourism Association's (RRVTA) annual 82/287 Yard Sale. Saint Jo is participating in the 2017 yard sale. Call Saint Jo City Hall at 940-995-2337 to sign up and be placed on the map, there is no charge. Maps will be available for pickup at Saint Jo Dairy Queen.
