Hwy 82/287 Garage Sale

Red River Valley Tourism Association's (RRVTA) annual 82/287 Yard Sale.  Saint Jo is participating in the 2017 yard sale.  Call Saint Jo City Hall at 940-995-2337 to sign up and be placed on the map, there is no charge.  Maps will be available for pickup at Saint Jo Dairy Queen.  For additional information regarding other towns participating visit www. redrivervalley.info for more information.

Saint Jo's July 4th Celebration

 Held Annually at Boggess Park

July 4th - Fourth of July Celebration and Old Jo's Firecracker 5K Run. The City of Saint Jo, the Saint Jo Chamber of Commerce and the Saint Jo Volunteer Fire Department will once again sponsor a July 4th Star Spangled Spectacular Fireworks show at Boggess City Park, beginning at full dark, around 9pm. Live music, free watermelon and a concession stand begins at 6pm.

The Old Jo's Firecracker 5K Run will begin at 8am. Please go to, getmeregistered.com, or click here for the entry form and additional information. Merchants on the Saint Jo Chisholm Trail Square will be open until 6pm. 

Pre-show entertainment will also start at 6pm with live music in the First State Bank Pavilion. The Chamber of Commerce will continue its tradition of free watermelon all evening which will be served by the Montague County Child Welfare Board. Beginning at 6pm, the concession stand will have hot dogs, hamburgers and other refreshments for purchase.

The Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the sixteenth annual July 4th Freeze-Off at 7:30pm. Teams of 1 to 4 people are invited to prepare homemade ice cream. The winners are chosen by popular vote and independent judges after tasting all the ice cream. Prizes are $100 for 1st place, $50 for 2nd place and $25 for 3rd place. To register your entry call Randie Burton at 940-995-2964.

Bring your lawn chair and join us in the park for an evening of food, fun, games, music and fireworks.

Community Thanksgiving Dinner

Please join us Thursday, November 15, 2018 at noon for the annual Saint Jo Civic Center Community Thanksgiving Dinner.  The Civic Center will provide the turkey, ham, dressing, gravy, bread and drinks.  We ask that you bring your favorite side dishes (vegetables, salads, or deserts) to complete the meal.  Dinner will be served at noon.

It's Time for Santa on the Square in Saint Jo!

This year's Saint Jo Chamber of Commerce "Santa on the Square" Celebration will be on Saturday, December 8, 2018 beginning at 2:00 pm. 

This year's celebration will include crafts for the children, a Live Manger, a 42 Tournament, and a Parade, as we anticipate Santa's.

Merchants and building owners are decorating their windows to bring in the season, so come early and join the fun.  All crafts and food at the event are FREE!!

42 Tournament

Want to be play some 42?  Our 42 tournament will begin at 2:00 pm in the Chamber Building.  Entries are for individuals only (no teams).  Entry fee is $10 per person.  Prizes in addition to bragging rights are First Place $100.00 | Second Place $75.00 | Third Place $50.00.  To enter and receive a complete set of rules email the Chamber at stjo@saintjochamber.com.  Or click here for rules: 42 Rules

Goodies, Treats and Entertainment

Christmas music will be playing from the gazebo. Gift bags for the children will be handed out by Santa himself and photographs will be taken. The Chamber will serve complimentary beans and cornbread.  The Century Club will also provide hot chocolate, coffee, and cookies during the event. The Chamber invites everyone in Montague county and surrounding communities to attend.

Raffle Prize Drawings

With over $2,000 in prizes available, be sure and get your tickets!  Tickets are available at the First State Bank in Saint Jo, Saint Jo ISD, City Hall and from Chamber Board Members.  Tickets are $2.00 each or 6 tickets for $10.00.  We will draw for prizes at the end of the evening.  You do NOT have to be present to win!!  

Join the Parade! 

Entries for the parade will need to be submitted by December 2, 2017. Entries can be lighted or not lighted.  Entries will need to arrive no later than 3:00pm on December 9 in the vacant lot north of Leeton Phillips house.  Parade rules and regulations will be received when you turn in your entry.  The parade will begin at 4:00 pm.  Prizes for the Parade?  First Place $100.00 | Second Place $75.00 | Third Place $50.00

Annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet

2018 Chamber Banquet

The annual Saint Jo Chamber of Commerce Banquet will be held on Tuesday, January 16th at the Blue Ostrich Winery & Vineyard again this year.  Last year's event was so successful in the beautiful venue, we decided on a repeat!
Seating is LIMITED!  Reservations can be made by emailing Camille Crist at camillecrist@gmail.com or by calling her at 636.236.9044. Cost for the meal and event is $15 per person.  Deadline for reservations is Friday, January 12th.  There will be minimal seats available the day of the event, so make your plans now!

This year’s Citizen of the Year award will again be one of the highlights of the Banquet.  And just who will that be this year?  Nominations can be made by submitting information in written format to Camille Crist at the email address above by Wednesday, January 10th. 

The Banquet will be in lieu of the Chamber’s regularly scheduled January meeting.

Saint Jo Chisholm Trail Ranch Roundup

The Saint Jo Chamber of Commerce announces it's first Chisholm Trail event leading up to the Chisholm Trail's 150th Anniversary in 2017.

The Saint Jo Chisholm Trail Ranch Roundup will be held Saturday, September 3. This is not your typical rodeo!  Four man teams of cowboys perform actual tasks which occur on the Trail, or the ranch!

Before the Roundup begins, enjoy a Trail Boss Chuck Wagon dinner at 5:00 while Grammy-nominate and Texas Western Swing Hall of Fame artist Dave Alexander serenades.  Tickets can be purchased online with the link on the home page.

Easter Egg Hunt with Easy Street

2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by Easy Street Animal Shelter.  There will be a bake sale put on by the Girl Scouts of Saint Jo, dog nail trimming starting at 8:30 for a $5 donation, Easy Street T-shirts, face painting for a donation, and the Easter Bunny will be there as well as some of the Easy Street residents looking for their forever homes.

Egg hunts start at 10:00am at the Saint Jo City Park.  Egg hunts will be divided into age groups 5th grade and under.
