City of Saint Jo, Texas City News Bulk trash pick up is the last Saturday of every month. Citizens must call City Hall to get on the list for pick up or citizens can take their items to the Rodeo grounds on that Saturday.
City Government The city of Saint Jo is governed by a Mayor/Council with five aldermen. There is a city zoning body and a master plan. The City Council holds a meeting the first Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. Saint Jo has its own police department and a volunteer fire department. A resource in which the community takes great pride is its volunteer Fire Department and EMS team. These men and women are well trained and have the most modern equipment available for fire-fighting and rescue operations. Their cost to the community is a $1.50 per month ambulance subsidy per residential and commercial customer. The quick response and long hours of dedication of our Fire and Police Departments and community volunteers is what makes the difference in our city. To see recent pictures click here.
